Goodness gracious great balls of steel - the Atomium

Built in 1958 for the World's Fair and 102 metres high, the Atomium with its observation deck (and exhibition spaces), is a popular tourist attraction. With popularity comes queues, so rather than spending an hour in the queue, we had a quick mooch around the outside, admiring the repainting being undertaken by a gang of men suspended on ropes.
